Burning the Wickerman

The first day of spring turned out to be warm and sunny. With the nice weather, the park was filled with people. My middle daughter and I did manage to find a few quiet spots, one of which was around Kildoo Falls pictured here.
My middle daughter and I finally managed to hike down to Hell's Hollow Falls today. It is finally starting to warm up enough that some of the snow is melting.
We received around 19 inches of snow this weekend and our driveway will finally be plowed later this afternoon. This has been the largest snow fall here in 17 years.
I hope everyone is keeping warm as there have been widespread power outages in the area. We have been lucky in this regard and we wish everyone well.
It was not long after I took this shot that the sun dipped too low to cast its light on the falls. The days seem so short now.
My oldest daughter and I visited Eckert Falls Saturday morning except this time we climbed further up the hill. We were pleasantly surprised to find another waterfall not far away.
I am going to tag both waterfalls as Eckert Falls until I discover information otherwise.
Above is a photo of Kildoo Run as it weaves through a few moss covered rocks in McConnells Mill. According to PA's foliage report, we were at our peak this past week. I did not find the report until today but at least I'll know to look for it next year.
